Our Mission

 

Training the Next Generation of Liturgical Leaders

The word Venite is a solemn, joyful invitation: “O come, let us sing to the Lord” (Psalm 95:1). This ancient call is the foundation of Christian worship, summoning the faithful to acknowledge the majesty of God.

Venite is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring this call is answered by the next generation. We provide educational services and materials to train youth in liturgy and hymnody, becoming skilled, theologically grounded church musicians. We equip them not just to play, but to support the congregation in expressing the deep joy of our faith—to “come into his presence with thanksgiving” and “make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” (Psalm 95:2)

Our Educational Focus: Liturgy and Hymnody

Church musicians should understand that every note and every service is an act of prepared devotion. By moving beyond technical skill through a focus on the historical and biblical context that continues, Venite students learn the structure and meaning of liturgical services. The emphasis on hymnody grounds students in centuries of theological truth set to music, ensuring they steward this priceless heritage faithfully.

 

We Call & Support

Removing Financial Barriers. Under the counsel of their family and congregation, talented youth who have the desire to teach, foster and edify the church’s worship with their biblical and confessional musical leadership and direction, will apply for support. Your contributions provide essential scholarships  to students who desire to pursue this vocation.

We Train & Form

Our core mission is formation, not just instruction. Students should be mentored by experienced church musicians, learning the skills needed to support their pastors by assisting with worship planning, providing musical education, and directing choirs, ensembles and musicians for services in God’s house.—to “come before his presence with thanksgiving” (Psalm 95:2).

We Resource & Equip

We curate essential educational resources. These materials provide the tools necessary for students to deeply understand the context of worship.

We Connect & Launch

We create pathways for our trained leaders to enter sacred service immediately. This includes recommendations for continuing education programs for our mentors and instructors, as well as placement assistance in congregations seeking skilled liturgical musicians.
